Get involved with our VCS project telling the United Nations about UK human rights

The British Institute of Human Rights has been awarded funding from the Equality and Human Rights Commission to coordinate and draft a joint civil society report ahead of the review of the United Kingdom at the United Nations (UN) Universal Periodic Review (UPR). The UPR is a key way the UN reviews, and seeks to improve, the human rights situations of all 193 member countries. Over the next three months, BIHR will be delivering workshops across England, Scotland and Wales to support civil society organisations to prepare reports which will be considered when the UK is under review in 2017. We will also be collecting evidence from civil society organisations on human rights issues to feed into a joint report, to which all civil society organisations across England, Scotland and Wales will be encouraged to sign up.
