UPDATE: 29.03.2017: Following concerns about lack of access to the UK government’s UPR report, raised by both BIHR and Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights (see below), we are pleased to confirm that government published it’s report this week, and it is available here. This week the British Institute of Human Rights has formally requested the government publishes its report on the domestic human rights situation, submitted to the UN for the Universal Periodic Review of the UK. BIHR understands that whilst the report was sent to the UN on the 20 February 2017, it has not yet been made publicly accessible in the UK. Parliament’s Joint Committee on Human Rights has also written to the Sir Oliver Heald QC MP at Ministry of Justice to request publication of the report.
