PETA has been fighting to end the use of forced swim test for some time. Major companies have stopped the use of the tests, but some stalwarts remain like Pfizer,Bristol Meyers Squibb and Eli Lilly. In this episode, we describe what the tests do and how the tests actually hinder the companies' main objectives, finding effective treatments for depression.
Dr. Emily Trunnell of PETA's Laboratory Investigations Department talks to Emil Guillermo.
