In a major new investigation, we examine how, and where, relatives of former Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbaev are parking their money outside of Kazakhstan.

While many of the purchases have already been documented, this investigation explores newly uncovered properties, and — for the first time — reveals the massive scale of the investments made by these politically connected Kazakh elite, as well as shedding light on the measures taken to obscure the investments.
