The Saudi Interior Ministry says due to a continuous rise in corona virus cases, closure of airports, ports and border checkpoints has been extended.
The Saudi Interior Ministry said in a statement that program for Saudi nationals travel to and from country had been changed. Travel restrictions will now be lifted from Monday, May 17, 2021.
Earlier, it was announced that travel restrictions would be lifted from March 31, 2021. Meanwhile, Health Minister Dr. Tawfiq ar Rabiyah said that companies manufacturing COVID- 19 vaccine did not deliver vaccine as per schedule.
Ar Rabiyah said that second wave of pandemic covid-19 hit many countries. The Saudi government was satisfied that country had a safe environment against virus before lifting travel bans.
