N.J. state, Governor’s, Jefferson Award Association select Sam Khan for an honoree Dr. Martin Luther King (MLK) Jr. Champion for Justice, Jefferson Awards.
According to Sam Khan, being an honoree for an award named after such an amazing leader like MLK, whose ideals I strive to live by and whose goals for equality I have made my career around, is such an amazing opportunity. I’m blessed to have even been nominated.
From South Asian Community outreach (SACO) to other groups like American Muslim council (AMC) and Pakistani American council (PAC), I have made it my mission to continue to ensure that we as push as immigrants, South Asians, to realize that we are just as American as anyone else, and as Americans, we have to be part of the discussions and solutions to improve this country that has become our home and our future Sam Khan added.
More over Sam Khan added that, everyone, we have to all come together either Indians Hindus, Cristian’s or Sikhs community to celebrate the differences that make us unique and the similarities that unite us as people.
I have been energized to continue my efforts to ensure that people of every ethnicity, race, religion, political affiliation, etc., can come together to tackle not only the issues that harm all of us but also the issues that solely or directly impact certain groups so we can all enjoy a better world.
