PETA: Iditarod 2021 COVID Death Trap for Dogs

The Iditarod–originally intended to help get medicine to distant parts of Alaska–has now ironically become a COVID death trap for the dogs. Last year, 220 dogs had to be pulled off the race due to injury. John Di Leonardo, PETA’s Iditarod specialist and an anthrozoologist in the animals in entertainment department talks to Emil Guillermo about the protest effort to end the Iditarod for good.

Go to PETA.org and call for the end to the race. See the live blog of the race and protest.
