Protesters clashed with police near the Presidential Office in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv, following the conviction of Odesa activist Serhiy Sternenko on February 23 on robbery, abduction, and weapons charges. Sternenko’s supporters believe the charges were politically motivated.
