Two boys in France, threw Pakistani-born Alisha into the river Seine after being tortured, resultant, Alisha died. Police arrested the accused. A rally was held in the French city of Argenteuil against the murder of Alisha.
Apart from thousands of workers from various NGOs, political, social and welfare organizations, the Pakistani community also participated in large numbers. Rally participants hold placards and banners demanding justice for Alisha.
The rally was specially attended by Argenteuil Mayor Georges Mothron and President of Alde de France Valerie Pecresse , who expressed solidarity with Alisha’s family. The rally was begins from Alisha’s school through marching from different areas rally ended at Argenteuil Park. Participants observed a minute of silence in memory of Alisha and laid flowers at the memorial.
Addressing the rally, Alisha’s mother said that she was not sure that Alisha was passed away. Alisha’s gap can never be filled.
Alisha’s father Khalid said that the government should provide justice to Alisha and take steps to prevent such incidents from happening again. Alisha’s family thanks rally participants and organizers for expressing solidarity with Alisha. French and international media also covered the rally throughout the day.
