WASHINGTON – Today, in response to news that the American Petroleum Institute (API) has reversed its previous position and now supports putting a price on carbon emissions, Accountable.US released the following statement: 

“For decades, the American Petroleum Institute has undermined climate science and fought meaningful efforts to meet the climate crisis head on. To put it bluntly – they cannot be trusted,” said Kyle Herrig president of Accountable.US.
