A stone shattered the window

Journalist Payal Mehta had first tweeted the viral video shared by Locket Chatterjee to show how the politician’s car was prevented to move by an unruly corwd. This video was picked up by many and shared with the claim that someone broke Chatterjee’s car window from inside.

Mehta’s video is clearer and shows a stone shattering the window when played in slow motion.

An earlier fact-checked by Boomlive had also found that a stone had broken the window.

TMC and several social media users falsely claimed that BJP MP Locket Chatterjee’s car window was broken from inside. But the fact is that a stone hurled from outside shattered the glass.
