Tanzania hasn’t reported cases or deaths of COVID-19 since May last year but the story inside the country paints a much different picture. Under former President John Magufuli, denial and misinformation thrived. Now, Tanzanians and the world are watching to see if the woman who took his place, President Samia Suluhu Hassan, will steer the country in a new direction.
