Ep. 450 – This needs to happen in your hometown

This past week New York City announced that all non-violent mental health calls will be rerouted away from the NYPD and sent instead to mental health professionals. This amounts to nearly 154,000 calls a year – or over 400 calls a day to 911. When it gets instituted, this is going to change the city and change policing in a major way.
