Pakistan High Commission organized seminar on Minorities Day in London

A seminar has been organized on Minorities Day with the support of Pakistan High Commission London and World Congress of Overseas Pakistanis.

Participants included Dr. James Shaira, Dr. Amina Hoti, Bishop Michael Nazir Ali, Sonu Malkani, Rupak Gold, Chanchal Singh Chaudhry and Councilor Tariq Raj.

The speakers highlighted the role of minorities in the establishment of Pakistan and paid tribute to them for their contribution to the development of Pakistan and thanked the Government of Pakistan for providing religious freedom.

While addressing, High Commissioner Moazzam Ahmad Khan paid tribute to the minorities of Pakistan for playing their role in nation building.

High Commissioner added that according to Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the Constitution of Pakistan, all steps would be taken for the inclusion, diversity and betterment of minorities. Protection of the rights of minorities is part of the basic principles of the government of Pakistan

The High Commissioner apprised the participants of the steps being taken by Pakistan to promote inter-faith harmony, including opening of Kartarpur Corridor.

Chairperson WCOB Dr. Sohail Chughtai welcomed the guests while Syed Qamar Raza delivered the closing remarks.

Dr. Arif Anis Malik and Rana Yuwab Khan directed the event. Leo Twins performed the national songs and received compliments from the audience.
