Carbon capture and storage (CCS) is favoured by the fossil fuel industry as it offers the opportunity to continue business-as-usual, while appearing to be green and gaining credits on a carbon price with the support of foraminous government subsidies. But ALL projects have failed to live up to expectations in terms of emissions reduction and as such are greenwashing solutions.
