Most people around the world viewed the United States as a nation of immigrants, while questioning if the country was backsliding on its promise in electing Trump. With the Democratic Party back in power in 2021, the nation-of-immigrants rhetoric appears to be firmly back in place, although the exclusionary policies of the United States will continue as they did during the Barack Obama administration.
