New Social Services Director

HRI extends our heartfelt thanks to departing Social Services Director, Elisandra De La Cruz, who is leaving HRI on 11/5/2021. During her tenure, Elisandra developed the Youth Empowerment Program, which provides college and career guidance, and helped foster a research collaboration with Southern Methodist University to determine the most effective interventions for young survivors of trauma. During the pandemic, Elisandra managed HRI’s Rental Assistance Program, which provided more than $300,000 in aid to immigrants across North Texas. Elisandra moved HRI’s Social Services program forward in important ways, and we will miss her creativity and vision.

We are pleased to announce that the new Director of Social Services is Sierra Houck, formerly HRI’s Family Case Manager. For the last several months, Sierra has served as our Social Services Interim Director. She brings a keen sense of justice and a powerful work ethic with her, and we couldn’t be happier to have her at HRI.
