Nassau County,

Ramadan begins with blessings and the County Executive, Bruce Blackman arranges a reception at Nassau County Office. The reception hosted by Director of Asian American Affairs, Urooj Islam.The county building was lightened with green color lights and the program begins with recitation of Holy Quran.A large number of Asian-American Muslims participated while US officials, including elected representatives also attended the event.   Director of Asian American Affairs, Urooj Islam thanked the distinguished guests for attended the reception.The children’s of Hamza Academy and Crescent School presented beautiful Nasheed.The young muezzin arrives from Madinah calls for prayers and the atmosphere became bright. Participants welcome the holy month of Ramadan and greet each other.
