ACMW organized a Chand Raat Festival at Coney Island Avenue.

Web Desk:

American Council of Minority Women (ACMW) organized an Annual Chand Raat Festival for the Pakistani-Americans and Muslim community of New York at Coney Island Avenue, Brooklyn.

Consul General of Pakistan Ayesha Ali, US officials, members of different social organizations, and thousands of Pakistani-Americans attended the event with love and enthusiasm.

The event organizer and chairperson of ACMW, Bazah Rohi, said that we have been hosting this event for the last fourteen years. However, all the social activities became limited due to the pandemic for the past two years, but now we successfully brought back smiles to the faces as people enjoyed the event.

People from every group of age came to the event and said that such festivals are helpful to unite the community and are one of the best ways to teach our children about their culture.

Clothes, jewelry, mehndi, toys, and other stalls were the center of attention from children and women.

ACMW gave out gifts to women and children and gave citations to the people for their services to the community.

ACMW chairperson Bazah Rohi in her message said Eid Mubarak to the Pakistani and Muslim communities and thanked people for making the event successful.
