Employment drops below 4% for the first time in 70 years

The ABS has released the April 22 Labor Force statistics. Unemployment has fallen slightly to 3.85% which is at the lower end of the Reserve Bank’s target range of 3.8-4.3%. Underemployment has beaten expectations sitting at 6.12%. Together this leaves the underutilisation rate at 9.97% of the workforce.
