Towards an International Research Co-Lab on Artistic Activism

Last week we held a second meeting to give shape to what we are calling an international research collaboratory (co-lab) on artistic activism. This is an initiative bringing together researchers from the Aoteroa/New Zealand, China, Denmark, Peru, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. Our collective objective is to generate a space for researchers of artistic activism to share knowledge, connect with one another and shape new research efforts in a global field.

We have started with a small group of researchers to explore what a co-lab could look like and will  open the space for greater participation in the near future. The first stage is getting to know each other, discuss the goals for this new space and present our work to the group in order to recognize shared interests and potential synergies. Below is a list of the members of the group at this stage (in alphabetical order) and links to their websites.

We will keep you posted as the process continues!
