New York: Pakistani-American Police in New York have dispatched the first shipment of relief goods to flood-hit Pakistan.

This announcement came at a joint press conference by Helping Hands, and Pakistani American Law enforcement Society (PALS) in Brooklyn.

On the occasion, Helping Hands and the PALS representatives informed the media that 15 million dollars have been allocated for aid to the flood victims of Pakistan.

Shahid Farooqui, co-coordinator of Helping Hand New York, said that they are doing relief work in 50 countries of the world.

The organizations will also build houses in the flood-affected areas of Pakistan.

PALS volunteers are actively participating in the packing of relief supplies.

On this occasion, Police President Detective Rohail Khalid said that the relief stuff containing warm clothes, blankets, dry food and essential items for women and children have been sent to the flood victims.

Apart from volunteers, police officials were also present in the press conference.

On this occasion, Pakistani Consul General Ayesha Ali expressed her views and appreciated the efforts of Helping Hand and PALS.

Helping Hands and PALS representatives said they will provide all possible assistance to the flood victims and, go to Pakistan, next week.
