The Canada Files and CovertAction Magazine are thrilled to confirm that we are engaging in mutual win-win cooperation. TCF and CAM have deep mutual respect for the critical journalism and analysis done by each other, and recognize to have our journalism reach more people.
TCF was founded in 2019, and provides socialist, anti-imperialist journalism, focused on investigations and news analysis of Canadian foreign policy. CovertAction Magazine was originally founded in 1978 as CovertAction Information Bulletin, by ex-CIA whistleblower Phil Agee. In 2005, it was reconstituted as CovertAction Magazine and provides critical analysis of US imperialism.
TCF and CAM’s first point of cooperation is the webinar “The Secret US Invasion of Canada: How the CIA Manipulates Public Opinion and Corrupts Canadian Foreign Policy”, which is being held on December 13 starting at 7pm EST. It features TCF’s Editor-in-Chief Aidan Jonah, CAM’s Managing Editor Jeremy Kuzmarov, intrepid journalist Eva Bartlett and TCF’s Contributing Editor Arnold August, as event speakers. Aidan Jonah is the Editor-in-Chief of The Canada Files, a socialist, anti-imperialist news outlet founded in 2019. Jonah has broken numerous stories, including how the Canadian Armed Forces trained neo-Nazi “journalist” Roman Protasevich while he was with the Azov Battalion, and how a CIA front group (the NED) funded the group (URAP) which drove the “Uyghur genocide” vote in parliament to pass this February. Jonah recently wrote a report for the 48th session of the UN Human Rights Council, held in September 2021.
