APPAC hosts ‘Meet and Greet’ in support of Andre Wallance for Mayor of Mount Vernon

New York: American-Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) hosted a grand ‘meet and greet’ event in support of Andre Wallance – a Democratic candidate for Mayor of Mount Vernon, in New York.  

The meet-and-greet was held at the residence of Khawar Baig, a community entrepreneur and social figure.

The meet and greet was attended by important personalities of the Pakistani community. Khawar Baig, the host of the event, introduced the mayoral candidate and thanked the community members for their participation.

Addressing the participants, Andre Wallance said that there are many different nationalities living in Mount Vernon. “For me, the difference of color and race does not matter. I look forward to working with you guys,” he said.

On this occasion, Pervez Riaz, a social figure of the community, said that Andre Wallance, the Democratic candidate for the mayor of Mount Vernon, wants to help the community as a whole and I think this is a good initiative, so we should support him.

Attendees at the event also asked from the mayoral candidate a set of questions, and extended their support for him in the race.

On this occasion, the political figure of Pakistan and Khawar Baig’s brother Dilawar Baig was also present, while the event participants also assured him of full support.
