APPAC hosts Bid Farewell party to Pakistan’s outgoing CG in NYC

New York: The American Pakistani Public Affairs Committee (APPAC) hosted a farewell party for Ayesha Ali, the outgoing Consul General of Pakistan in New York.

The farewell party, organized at the residence of Dr. Pervez Iqbal in New York was moderated by Tariq Khan who highlighted aims and objectives of the establishment of APPAC to the audience on this occasion.

Addressing the participants on this occasion, APPAC Chairman Dr. Ijaz Ahmed said that Consul General Ayesha Ali performed her diplomatic responsibilities well during her appointment, which he said is a great example for the newcomers.

The farewell party was also attended by Sheharyar Ali, the Republican Party’s candidate for the Legislator from District 3 of Nassau County.

Addressing the audience, he said that you should support any political party but be involved in local politics here and this is the only way forward to achieve and protect the interest of Pakistani-Americans.

On this occasion, the host of the event, Dr. Parvez Iqbal, while addressing Consul General Ayesha Ali, said that she fought the case of Kashmiris here at every forum and also raised her voice for the flood victims.

The board member of APPAC, Dr. Sadia Tahir announced the establishment of Youth Wing.

Consul General Ayesha Ali, the special guest of the event, appreciated and praised APPAC’s role in mobilizing the community in American politics.

At the end, APPAC presented a commemorative shield to Ayesha Ali while the participants appreciated her services as Consul General and congratulated her on her appointment as Ambassador to Prague, the capital of Czech Republic.
