39th Annual ‘Pakistan Day parade’ held in NYC

New York: The 39th annual Pakistan Day parade was held in New York as part of Pakistan’s Independence Day.

As per details, the Pakistan Day Parade started from Madison Avenue in Manhattan under the leadership of Marshal Dr. Mehmood Alam and the event organizers.

Troopers from the New York Police Department marched waving flags to the tune of a traditional band.

When the Pakistan Day Parade started, a large number of citizens stood on all its routes to watch this unique parade, while members of the Pakistani community waved green crescent flags to welcome the participants of the parade.

The participants of the parade marched with different floats and reached their designated place on Madison Avenue, where a regular program was organized in connection with the celebration of Pakistan’s independence, which began with the recitation of the Holy Quran.

Later, the famous Naat-Khawan Asghar Ali Chushti recited Naat-e-Rasool (SA).

The participants of the Parade were very happy and enthusiastic. The U.S and Pakistan’s national anthems were presented, respectively.

During the parade, the New York police also remembered the recently martyred young Pakistani police officer Adeed Fayyaz and conveyed the message that the sacrifice of Adeed Fayyaz will always be remembered.

On the arrival of the participants of Pakistan Day Parade, the traditional breakfast of Halwa Puri was also organized. The participants thoroughly enjoyed breakfast prepared on the roadside.

On this occasion, the Trustees of the Parade Committee, Asad Chaudhary and Ahmad Jan, congratulated the entire community on the Independence Day of Pakistan.

They said that Pakistanis have a lively heart and living nations never forget their culture, traditions and national day.

The Committee President Munir Lodhi, General Secretary Haroon Ajam Ramey, Khawar Baig were also present.
