ACMW, UHC distribute school supplies among 500 children

New York: Americans Council of Minority Women (ACMW) in collaboration with the United Health Care has distributed school supplies among five hundred children on Coney Island Avenue in New York.

Sschool notebooks, colors, pencils and other stationery items were distributed among children in the ACMW’s 15th Annual School Supplies Distribution ceremony.

On this occasion, ACMW chairperson Baza Roohi while talking to Voice of South Asia said that her organization has been distributing school supplies to children for the past fifteen years.

We feel more joy in this philanthropic work will continue in coming years as well, she promised.

Babar Munir, the representative of United Health Care, said that ACMW’s cooperation is very long-lasting and the purpose of distributing supplies to children under this program is that the children who cannot buy stationary items can easily benefit from this opportunity.

Ahmed, the general secretary of the American Council of Minority Women expressed the hope of continuing this program every year.

Children and their parents expressed their utmost joys while receiving the gifts and stationery items.
