New York: A delegation of Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (APPNA) met with Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar in New York.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has expressed his belief that Pakistani-American immigrants will contribute to the socio-economic development of Pakistan through their remittances, investments and welfare works.
The Prime Minister asked the delegation to invest in the fields of health tourism, medical and paramedical education, training and skill development in Pakistan.
He appreciated APPNA’s positive role in promoting Dr. Arshad Rehan’s message of unity and solidarity among the Pakistani-American community, including APPNA’s social welfare, educational and medical relief missions and programs in Pakistan.
Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar said that more than one million Pakistani-Americans are an asset of Pakistan and their role in the national development of the country is fully recognized.
The Caretaker Prime Minister said that immigrants are the real face of Pakistan in America and a valuable bridge to further strengthen Pakistan-US relations.
He assured the delegation of the government’s firm commitment to provide facilities to Pakistanis living around the world.
APPNA President Dr. Arshad Rehan thanked Prime Minister on hehalf of members for meeting and briefed the PM about APPNA’s ongoing work in social welfare, education and medical sectors in Pakistan.
