PTI holds demo outside UN headquarters for IK’s release, amid UNGA session

New York: As the 78th session of United Nations General Assembly is going on, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) workers and supporters gathered outside the UN Headquarters to register their protest against the imprisonment of their party leader and former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Thousands of PTI workers gathered outside the UN Headquarters from various city parts and they urged the government to release Imran Khan saying that Khan is innocent and he is being politically victimized.

PTI Chief Coordinator Chaudhry Naveed Warraich while talking to Voice of South Asia (VOSA) said that people stand with Irman Khan. Today’s protest indicating the party’s increased popularity among the Pakistani-American community since Imran Khan’s arrest.

From the Washington DC to UNGA, overseas Pakistani-Americans are raising their voices in favor of Imran Khan. They are united; they love Imran Khan and Pakistan.

PTI leader Chaudhary Imtiaz said tens of thousands of PTI workers and Imran Khan’s loyalists have gathered here outside UN Headquarters to register protest against Imran Khan’s imprisonmen. We hope that the incumbent caretaker government will consider our demand and release Imran Khan.
