Priti Patel, sacked for secret Israel talks, smears Palestine protests on the BBC

In a stunning new display of mainstream media bias, the BBC invited ex-minister Priti Patel on to give her opinions on Israel and the pro-Palestine protests:

Priti Patel – astonishing on Israel, Palestine

As reported by the Canary, the consultant Nick Tolhurst explained the issue with Patel’s actions at the time:

While on holiday in Israel in August, Patel attended 12 meetings with Israeli officials – including with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. She has since admitted to two further meetings on returning home to Britain. None of these meetings were ostensibly sanctioned by the UK government. They were apparently scheduled and attended without the knowledge or permission of the Foreign Office or the Prime Minister. And Downing Street has since confirmed that Patel then attempted to lobby for UK aid funding on behalf of the Israeli military.

To be clear, Patel’s meetings were ‘secret from her own government’ – not simply ‘secret from the public’. Successive UK governments have been more than favourable towards Israel; as such, it’s alarming that Patel felt like she had to engage with them in total secrecy.

In our article, we added:

Why does any of this matter? Tolhurst explains that Patel has to all intents and purposes acted as a spy/foreign agent. She has created an unacceptable security threat to the UK government, he says. And if she remains in post, the UK government will be considered a laughing stock by foreign governments.

Given all this, you’d think the BBC would have thought twice about having Patel on to discuss the anti-genocide protests? Jokes on you; these people barely think once.

In the video above, Patel says:

The real problem we have in this country right now are these hate marches where people are being so racist to the Jewish community. That is unacceptable. …

It’s causing chaos around our communities and our streets. And I just don’t think that’s acceptable. And as for Keir Starmer, that’s the one thing him and his government should be absolutely gripping. And they should be backing the police and giving the police the tools that they need to stop this terrible, terrible level of antisemitism on the streets of Britain.

Israel is infamously committing a genocide; it’s equally infamous for trying to label all of its critics ‘antisemites’. Priti Patel, meanwhile, is infamous for holding secret meetings with Israel while in government. That aside, I’m sure we can trust everything she’s saying here.

Others are less trusting:

As people have highlighted, there are many Jewish people who oppose Israel’s genocide and support Palestinian freedom:

The reason why Israel’s supporters are pushing back so hard right now is because they’ve entirely lost the support of the public:

Patel also got shown up for this:

Bias

No normal person thinks Patel should be on the BBC to talk about this topic. Additionally, no normal person thinks Patel should have been allowed to continue in politics after she got caught cavorting in secret with foreign powers.

The problem is there are no normal people in the mainstream British media.
