This week, Zohran Mamdani has destroyed Andrew Cuomo multiple times in both mayoral debates and social media clashes in the race for the New York City mayoral election.
It started during the first TV debate, when Mamdani was asked how he would finance free buses.
He quickly pointed out that the scheme would cost less than what Andrew Cuomo gave to Elon Musk in tax credits when he was the Governor of New York.
Mamdani: Free buses would cost $700M. Cuomo gave more—$959M—to Elon Musk for a failed Tesla factory.

Then, in the second debate, Mamdani tore Trump a new one.
Zohran Mamdani just walked onto that debate stage and did what most Democrats have been too scared to do, call Trump’s agenda what it is: authoritarian by design.
He broke it down like a prosecutor:
Trump ran on mass deportations, revenge politics, and a fake promise to lower… pic.twitter.com/Kztu0Ldk3c— Brian Allen (@allenanalysis) October 22, 2025
Of course, since then, the billionaires have attempted to bring him down. Because who knows what struggling New Yorkers want or need better than a billionaire.
Why Mamdani would be bad for struggling young New Yorkers, as explained by a 67 year-old billionaire who lives in $22 million dollar estate in Dallas, Texas. https://t.co/RtE1olZmRv

Sexual harassment
Then, during the second TV debate, Mamdani – who arrived by public bus, by the way- pointed out the 13 women who credibly accused Cuomo of sexual harassment while they worked in his government.
One of the women was in the audience, and of course, Cuomo’s lawyers have gagging orders in place, meaning she can’t talk about it.
Mamdani, though? He can and he did.
In the audience tonight is Charlotte Bennett, one of the 13 women that Andrew Cuomo is credibly alleged to have sexually harassed while they worked in his government.
She can’t speak for herself because Cuomo’s lawyers have hounded her.

Meanwhile, social media influencer Emily Austin started ‘Hot girls for Cuomo’. She did this despite the Department of Justice saying that Cuomo sexually harassed 13 women.
Hilariously, though, she wasn’t smart enough to buy the domain name, and someone else quickly did.
Now, hotgirlsforcuomo.com takes you straight to New York’s Attorney General’s Investigation into Cuomo’s sexual harassment.

Blatant racism
Since then, Cuomo appeared on The Sid Rosenberg Show and suggested that Mamdani would cheer on a future terror attack, similar to the Twin Towers. It was nothing short of Islamophobia.
NEW: @ZohranKMamdani reacts to comments made by @andrewcuomo this morning on @sidrosenberg show:
“This is disgusting,” says Mamdani.

To make matters worse, he or his team then posted an AI-generated video which depicted “Criminals for Mamdani”.
Andrew Cuomo’s campaign just posted — and quickly deleted — this AI-generated ad depicting “criminals for Zohran Mamdani.”

He said plainly and simply what he thinks of anyone who isn’t white.
Is that a Black man dressed like a 70s pimp with a white van filled with drugged-out white women?? Cuomo just told Black people loud and clear what he thinks about us. pic.twitter.com/EQk7j6OVEk

The fact that he can still stand in the election after posting such a racist ad would usually make you question what the hell the world has come to. But Trump’s in the White House – so unfortunately, there are no surprises anymore.
This is disqualifying. No candidate who approves a racist, disgusting ad like this can be allowed to govern.

Mamdani then pointed out on X that it’s not just what Cuomo is saying that’s the problem. It’s the people funding him, too.
It’s not just what Andrew Cuomo is saying—it’s who’s funding him.

On Wednesday, 22 October, the co-founder of Airbnb, Joe Gebbia, who also happens to work in the Trump administration, gave $2m to super PACs (Political Action Committee) that support Cuomo.
Back in August, Trump appointed Gebbia as ‘chief design officer of the United States’. Basically, he is going to make websites look pretty.

Is there any surprise that a Trump-appointed rich guy is trying to keep a democratic socialist out of the mayor’s office?
‘A snake and a liar’
On September 5, 2025, the current mayor of NYC, Eric Adams, said that
Andrew Cuomo is a snake and a liar.

Which is funny, because now that it looks like Mamdani could win the race, he has suddenly changed his tune. He has suddenly decided to endorse Cuomo and even attended a basketball game with him.

New Yorkers have a very real chance at a mayor who actually has their best interests at heart. Of course, the rich and powerful will try every trick in the book to try and stop him. All of the polls have Mamdani ahead by between eight and 18 points. However, with a chance at real change on the horizon, there is no doubt that the opposition will pull out every dirty trick in their (probably AI-generated) playbook.
