An unverified video circulated online alleges that Palestinian doctor, Marwan al-Hams was lured into a honey trap by a French woman named Charlotte. The doctor is a vocal critic of Israeli genocidal war crimes and went missing in July 2025.
The video —whose origins remain murky— purports to show WhatsApp audio exchanges between Charlotte and the physician. Though its veracity cannot be commented on, it alleges that a woman posing to be a ‘journalist’ tricked him into an Israeli ambush.
Israeli propaganda in full swing
The carrot she dangled, or so the video claims, is a documentary titled ‘Hero of Gaza’. She promised to chronicle his life story and dedication to public service in the context of Gaza’s genocide.
It boasts of “a brilliant military operation” by a woman whose identity nor existence have been proven — using ‘Palestine solidarity’ as bait.
It also links al-Hams to Hamas in a desperate move to tarnish his reputation.
Palestinian observers believe that the doctor had a target on his back. This was due to his handling of the repatriation of the corpse of Israeli military officer Hadar Goldin. Goldin was killed in an ambush by armed resistance factions and served in the notorious Givati Brigade.
Occupational forces also went after Hams’s daughter Tasneem. She was released from captivity on Thursday. Reports suggest she was handed over to Israeli forces. It has been reported that she was kidnapped by the Israeli-funded, ISIS-linked ‘Abu Shabab’ gang. This was an attempt to put pressure on her father. She was one of four Palestinian detainees released earlier this week.
Israel adds doctors to its hit list
Marwan al-Hams is one of dozens of doctors and medical personnel abducted by occupational forces during the two-year Gaza genocide.
Others include Kamal Adwan and hospital director Dr Hussam Abu Safiya, who has been held, often under torture, for almost a year. There is also a Dr Adnan al-Bursh, an orthopaedic surgeon who was raped and tortured to death in Israeli detention.
Israel has consistently fabricated lies about Palestinian medics and the hospitals they work in. It repeatedly claims that non-existent ‘Hamas command centres’ are entrenched in Gaza’s health care facilities — in an unconvincing effort justify its crimes against humanity.
