NEW YORK: The Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America (Apna) New York chapter organized a conference under the title of ‘Physician in Training’ in the local area of Queens, in which Pakistani doctors participated in a large number.
The objective of the event was to inform young doctors about its aims and objectives and to attract them to become a part of the organization.
Former President of Apna New York Chapter Hasan Dogar informed about the aims and objectives of Apna, while welcoming all the guests.
Dr. Arshad Anwar, the current president of Apna New York Chapter, said that the field of medicine is a noble profession, which is the need of every aspect of life, research and training are the guarantee of high role in medical services technically.
The young doctors who participated in the conference also introduced themselves.
The former president of Apna New York Chapter, Dr. Rizwan Naeem, informed in detail about the services of the doctors associated with the New York Chapter, on which the audience applauded and paid tribute to him.
Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Ayesha Ali, expressed her appreciation for the services of the Association of Physicians of Pakistani Descent of North America and other officials.
Apna New York Chapter also presented a shield to Ayesha Ali.
The conference ended with the recitation of famous Qawali – Tajdar Haram.
