“I haven’t committed murder of my wife, daughter,” the under-arrest accused tells Suffolk county district court

New York: The under-arrest accused informed a district court that he did not commit the gruesome murder of his wife and his two-year-old daughter, as the Suffolk County Police has booked him over the murder case.

The other day, Long Island’s Suffolk County Police claimed to have arrested a Pakistani-origin man who stabbed his wife and daughter to death.

Suffolk County Commissioner Rodney Harrison suspects that Zannoor Jaffrey who allegedly killed his wife and two-year-old daughter with a sharp knife in Brentwood, lost his mental balance due to drug abuse.

However, only after the report of the blood test of the accused, something can be said finally.

In a press briefing with Ethnic Media at Suffolk County Police Headquarters, Police Commissioner Rodney Harrison said Sunday evening that police received a 911 call. Following the address the police reached at Jefferson Avenue and found a woman and a young girl seriously injured.

The police commissioner said that the accused was detained by the police from the scene, and the injured were immediately rushed to the hospital, but both of them could not survive.

Rodney Harrison said that after seeing the condition of the accused, the police suspected that he may have consumed a large amount of drugs and to confirm this, doctors obtained samples of the accused’s blood, and reports are awaited.

The police commissioner said that after the initial examination of the accused and blood test, the accused Zannoor Jafari was again taken into custody by the police and transferred to the third precinct of Suffolk County and started an investigation related to the shocking murder.

The police say that the accused gave no statement during the investigation, but when he was presented in the district court yesterday, the accused Zannoor Jafri, denied to have killed his wife Misbah Batool and two-year-old daughter.

The commissioner of police said that he cannot say anything about the motive of the murder, the investigation is going on, the district attorney will follow the case further to ascertain the fact.
