PTI NYC-Chapter holds protest against the arrest of Imran Khan

New York: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) New York Chapter held a protest demonstration at Times Square against the conviction and arrest of their party Chairman, and former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan.

A large number of PTI activists including the party senior leader Shehbaz Gill participated in the protest.

Recently, Chairman PTI has been sentenced to three years imprisonment by the court in the Tausha Khana case.

On this occasion, fierce slogans were raised by the protestors and the release of Chairman Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Shehbaz Gill while addressing the protesters said that Imran Khan is a brave and courageous leader of the nation and he is fighting for oppressed Pakistanis.

They are standing for a nation that has no idea of their own. He further said that Imran Khan will die but he is not going to break.

On this occasion, Amjad Nawaz, the senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf New York, who is one of the organizers of the protest, while talking to Voice of South Asia, said that overseas Pakistanis want see Pakistan prosperous through institutional strengthening.

Other participants in the protest said that the voice of the people cannot be suppressed by arresting Imran Khan.

Maghrib prayers were also offered during the protest at Times Square.
