Did technology do a rare thing and actually take a turn for the better last week when a deal was signed for the UK to rejoin the EU’s important £80bn Horizon science collaboration? To some it was like finding a key to the back door of Europe for the first time since Brexit. Or like smuggling oneself out of Prison Brexit under the belly of a truly worthy fact-checking vehicle.
