Wars never really end, because grief never really ends, and because sometimes hate doesn’t, either. The conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh might be over, but there’s still so much work to do to get to peace. Right now, the US is pushing Azerbaijan to hand over about 50 prisoners of war that it’s now accusing of terrorism. Meanwhile, the hard work of making the region safe to live again, is just beginning.
