Javed Iqbal, a well-known elder of the Pakistani community in New York, had been ill for several days and was undergoing treatment at a hospital. Javed Iqbal, passed away after a long illness. Funeral prayers of deceased will be offered after Asr prayers on Wednesday.

Funeral prayers will be offered at Makki Mosque on Coney Island Avenue after Asr prayers today.

The body of deceased is also likely to be sent to Pakistan. The Pakistani community mourned the death of Javed Iqbal. Community prayed for forgiveness of deceased and said that he was a good man and could never be forgotten. May Allah raise Javed Iqbal ranks.
