From Our Member Dignity-Kadyr-kassiyet, Kazakhstan – ‘One brick from Kazakh’ campaign

Our member from Kazakhstan, Dignity-Kadyr-kassiyet (KK), just launched an Instagram account for the ‘??? ????? ???? ??????’ ???????? to share the stories of people who contacted the UN complaints system and received the opinion of experts that their rights were indeed violated.

They are also developing a crowdfunding in favor of the needy heroes of stories.

Not all Kazakhstanis know that citizens and non-citizens of the country can complain to the UN if they are faced with human rights violations in Kazakhstan. The complaints mechanism is designed to be used by non-professional people. You do not need to be a lawyer or know legal and technical terms in order to file a complaint with the UN. So, if you ever filed a complaint & received an expert opinion, send a photo with a brick building as the background (plus two sentences about how the State execute of UN Committees View versys State on national level; are there in legislation some executive state organs and procedures for execution) to dignityast@gmail.com.

You can find out more about the campaign on their website (in Russian) here.
