Kitty Flanagan has won the Silver Logie for Best Lead Actress in a Comedy for her role in Utopia.
It’s her third Logie win, and the comedian joked she was actually at the ceremony this year to collect the statue herself.
While Flanagan said there was no time for gags in her 30-second acceptance speech, Logies host Sam Pang has once again delivered a monologue full of zingers.

With cameos from no less than Stephen Fry and Anthony Albanese (“I’m sure it will be better, I mean easier, than last year”), Pang’s speech targeted both networks and nominees.
“I stand before you safe in the knowledge that whatever I say, this network will defend me in court,” said Pang, referencing Logies host network Channel Seven’s recent defamation cases.
There was more than one gag aimed at Olympian breakdancer Raygun, who appeared in a video message with sincere words of support for the nominees.
“Please feel free to pull out any of my signature moves in celebration,” she said.
The Logie for Best Children’s Program went to the ABC’s Bluey, the hit program’s third win, while Best Entertainment Program went to Seven’s The Voice Australia.

Most Popular New Talent went to 15-year-old Felix Cameron for his part in Boy Swallows Universe, and the young actor made an emotional speech thanking his parents and drama teacher.
Sophie Wilde also won the Silver Logie for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the show, which was adapted from Trent Dalton’s bestselling novel.
Earlier in the night, 2023 Gold Logie winner Sonia Kruger was on the red carpet wearing a silver bejewelled figure-hugging gown, one of seven nominees for Gold in 2024.
The host of Dancing with The Stars, The Voice, and Big Brother is up against Andy Lee (The Hundred with Andy Lee), actor Asher Keddie (Strife), and Julia Morris (I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!).
First-time nominees for the Gold are Tony Armstrong (ABC News Breakfast, Great Australian Stuff), Robert Irwin (I’m a Celebrity…) and long-time presenter Larry Emdur (The Chase Australia, the Morning Show).

The 2024 awards have separated out the categories for drama and comedy, and created an additional award for news programs.
The usual “Most Popular” and “Most Outstanding” categories have been re-named “Best”, with the winners determined by a judging panel, viewing data, and public voting.
