Queens, NYC
Muslims around the world mourn the tragic martyrdom of a Muslim family in the Canadian province of Ontario. Eric Adams, president and mayoral candidate of Borough Brooklyn, New York, arrived at the Al-Mamoor Jamaica Muslim Center in the Queens area, met with the Muslim community and expressed solidarity with participants.
While addressing the participants, Eric Adams said that “I see nothing more than humanity and there is no room for discrimination or hatred on the basis of religion, nationality, color or race.”
The demonstration was also attended by other New York State Assembly members Jennifer Raj Kumar and other US officials. Participants also held placards in respond to prevent hate speech against Muslims. It is to be noted that Eric Adams has always stood with Muslims against hate crimes. He is the first New York City mayoral candidate to condemn the incident in Canada.
