Corporate media gives Farage air time – and he uses it to incite racism

Nigel Farage has used a Reform UK speech – announcing the racist Operation Restoring Justice – to further divide the country, in a speech gifted to him by the UK’s corporate media.

MSM: Farage’s mouthpiece

The mainstream media has long been Nigel Farage’s devoted little mouthpiece. The corporate press drooling over the nasty little fascist’s vile ego-trips has been its favourite pastime in recent years. Now, however, it has outdone itself.

The British public has just been put through Farage’s latest soapbox in what can only be described as a party political broadcast. It came courtesy of the BBC, Sky News, and GB News.

The video ends:

I think there is now, as a result of this, a genuine threat to public order.

So I’m guessing this means the Beebs will be broadcasting the next Green Party leader’s/leaders’ inaugural speech live on air? And the Lib Dems too?

If the corporate media’s disproportionate coverage at the election is anything to go by, there’s a fat chance of that:

Of course, Farage took the opportunity to fan the flames of the far-right flag-shaggers, graffitiing St George’s Cross on their puny roundabout islands.

The toad-faced Reform leader said that:

The mood in the country is a mix between total despair and rising anger.

A mood that the millionaire MP is responsible for inciting.

Collaborators in incitement

But it’s evident that Reform’s racist anti-migrant bigotry is flourishing because national broadcasters like the BBC and Sky have given it oxygen. These mainstream channels are collaborators in incitement against marginalised migrant communities and refugees, whom the far right continues to terrorise.

Giving Reform a party political broadcast is not just irresponsible, it’s a disgrace. And obviously, they’re doing it with the full knowledge that it’s endangering migrant lives.

I’m old enough to remember when racist rioters set a hotel that the Home Office had housed migrant families in on fire.

And Farage’s role in that? Amplifying false information and spreading conspiracy theories from the likes of Andrew Tate. Whist also failing to condemn the 2024 riots.

The corporate media is responsible for the disgusting scenes of far-right protesters spewing their hatred outside hotels, and now erecting flags on every street corner. Giving airtime to the likes of Farage is causing direct harm to racially minoritised and migrant communities. And that harm is in the hands of the right-wing media.
