A group of rabid racists have flocked to their homeland – a Yorkshire Live Facebook post – to spew out their hatred at missing child Muhammed. A few days ago, Yorkshire Live posted the following image to their page:
Before we get into the 8,000 comments and laugh reacts, South Yorkshire police later confirmed that Muhammed had been found safe.
Now, back to the shitheads.
Racists flock to Yorkshire Live over missing Muhammed
One batch of commenters had the following to say:
And the comments just kept coming:
Carl apparently believes woke white women are to blame for Muslims… existing:
Plus some crying about how popular the name ‘Muhammed’ is:
They all made the same jokes about pedophilia, rape, and sexual assault:
They’re quite obsessed with boats:
Casual wishes for this 14 year old’s death:
Yer da paints flags on roundabouts
Whilst it’s true that these obscene racists are floating in a sea of their own ignorance and malice, the reaction to Yorkshire Live’s post about Muhammed is a telling indictment of racism in England. Racist fuckers are baiting an imaginary opposition as they paint England flags (and sometimes Switzerland flags) on roundabouts. Really, who gives a fuck? No one is stopping them, and it’s not the grand gesture of patriotism that they think it is.
Instead, it’s the constant buzz of living in racist England. Most people probably won’t see comments like that on their social media. But, for people of colour we always know they’re there. And, when you’re on the bus, you wonder, would anyone on here make comments like that? Or, maybe you’re at work and you have to think, is that colleague keeping to themselves, or are they unwilling to be friendly with anyone that isn’t white? Perhaps you see a racist sticker about stopping the boats at a football match, and you spend the second half thinking – which of my fellow fans did that? Are they looking at me now?
As a person of colour, no matter what you do or where you go, there will always be some racist person up in your business. You’re never truly alone because racism will cradle you whether in person or online. Not one of those people give a fuck about sexual grooming, pedophilia, or sexual assault – of any race. If they did, they would never dare to make sickening and glib comments about children.
And, it’s those same people who would be heartbroken and outraged if similar comments were made about a white child that had gone missing. That’s the standard of racial discourse in England at the moment. So, when the next inevitable public debate comes along on whether that politician was really being racist, or if the writers on a television show should have known better, remember this: this kind of vile dehumanising racism is the background noise to just existing in this racist fucking country.
