Parliamentarians and political leaders from across Europe called on the United States to cease its threats against Venezuela and demanded the withdrawal of US troops stationed in the Caribbean.
“The prelude to the invasion is already underway. A US naval armada—at least eight warships, strategic bombers, fighter jets, and 10,000 troops—is now patrolling the Caribbean,” 62 European political leaders wrote in a statement issued on Friday, November 21.
Among the US warships deployed off the Venezuelan coast is the aircraft carrier Gerald R. Ford, the most advanced aircraft carrier in the US fleet, which was used against Yemen during the latest Zionist genocide in Gaza.
