Reform UK give racist council leader the boot

On 4 December, we reported that Reform UK had suspended Staffordshire Council leader Ian Cooper. Now, they’ve given him the boot:

At this rate, Reform UK could end up losing councillors faster than they can get them elected.

Bye bye

Cooper got in trouble after Hope not Hate and Reform Exposed drew attention to his online activity:

While Reform have booted Cooper out of their party, he’s still the leader of the council. This could change, however, with Staffordshire County Council stating that plans to nominate a new leader could be agreed at the next full council meeting.

Meanwhile, local Tory councillors are sticking the boot in, with leader Philip White stating:

It was inevitable that Ian Cooper would have to go, but Reform have done nothing to address the bigotry that appears to be embedded in their Staffordshire branch.

Nigel Farage needs to instigate an urgent review of his entire Staffordshire operation. This is the third time since May this has happened with a Staffordshire Reform councillor and that pattern cannot be ignored.

One of the other Reform UK councillors in question is this guy:

Reform UK

Increasingly, it looks like Reform are attracting very-online racists who think they can turn their internet grievances into real-world politics. Because these people are careless and unthinking, however, it’s not taking long to expose them.

We don’t know what’s going on at the Reform vetting department, but this post seems accurate:
