Hunger strike

Thunberg supports the hunger strikers, as she told us the other day:

The UK government has failed miserably in fulfilling their bare minimum legal duties to prevent and stop a genocide from happening. And what has happened here is that civilians have taken on that responsibility to act to end the complicity in genocide and are now being punished. We are criminalising empathy.

As people have pointed out, Thunberg’s sign technically didn’t even suggest support for ‘Palestine Action’; it suggested support for ‘Palestine Action Prisoners’:

Polanski has also spoken out supporting the hunger strikers and condemning Israel for continuing to violate the ceasefire:

As Swawkbox reported, the hunger strikers have launched legal action against David Lammy as a result of them being jailed for 18 months without trial:

The letter details the hunger strikers’ seriously failing health, the risk of death they face, their demands of the government and outlines the Starmer regime’s long and sorry neglect of its legal and moral duties and own official policy statements, along with the ongoing failure of the prison system to meet its legal obligations.
