The future of organizing in the tech sector is dependent in large part on what happens here in the next few months. The August walkout, of over 50% of their bargaining unit, establishes the Tech Guild as a fighting union that could set precedents for other tech unions that have yet to be born. On the other hand, Times management’s union-busting, if successful, would do the same.
