Climate activists called the Deutsche Bank on October 27 not to loan Whitehaven Coal more than $2 billion to expand its operations in northern New South Wales. A protest was also held outside the Whitehaven office in Gunnedah.
Protesters bought scones to make their “Cook scones, not the planet” point and marched to Whitehaven Coal, that was holding its annual general meeting (AGM). Gomeroi Traditional Owners and Farmers for Climate Action asked questions of the board.
