Navalny Fined, Prison Sentence Upheld In Two Legal Losses

Russian opposition leader Aleksei Navalny was fined on charges of defamation on February 20 after an earlier sentence on embezzlement charges was upheld by a Moscow court. He now faces more than 2 1/2 years in prison. Navalny was arrested in January after receiving treatment for a near-deadly poisoning.
