Change at BIHR

21 June 2016 Stephen Bowen is to step down from his role as Director of The British Institute of Human Rights after seven successful years, the charity announced today.  His deputy, Sanchita Hosali, will become Acting Director on an interim basis from 11th July. Stephen Bowen said: “It has been a rare privilege to lead the British Institute of Human Rights during such turbulent times for human rights in the UK. I want to thank the very many organisations and individuals across the UK who have worked in partnership with BIHR over the last seven years to help us bring human rights to life here at home.” Chair of BIHR Trustees Sir Nicholas Bratza said: “The British Institute of Human Rights has been fortunate to have Stephen Bowen at its helm.
